We all use the Internet now, but we don't even know when it was invented or for what purpose. The roots of the Internet are connected with the events of the Cold War. The United States of America has been thinking about the country's security in every possible way. It was then that the connection between computers was invented, which did not have a single governing body.
At the same time, the ARPANET network was introduced in the US Department of Defense. The famous scientist of that time, P. Baran, laid the foundation for the development of a computer network where data was transmitted independently of each other. In 1969, four computers were actively working on the network. Then the idea came to implement a single data transfer protocol. This project was successfully implemented on the ARPANET network. Already in 1972, the first analogue of e-mail appeared. It was assumed that the ARPANET network would carry out only military purposes, connecting research institutes and the Ministry of Defense. The advent of routers attracted an increasing number of computers to the network. By the end of 1977, the network had about a hundred users. All popular and large universities of that time were already connected to ARPA Internet.
Since 1990, ARPANET has ceased to exist. But in a short time, she has made the greatest contribution to the development of the modern Internet. The very concept of the Internet appeared in mass use in 1983. It was interpreted as a connection of interconnected networks. At the same time, it was decided that all networks should be individual. Routers only analyze and connect data passing through the network, but do not store information about them.
In the nineties, the first commercial networks appeared that had access points on the NAP network. In 1994, there were four such points. It was based on a single open protocol, but it was not capable of being used in all computer systems. The network was growing at an incredible rate. Now not only universities, government agencies, but also private individuals and commercial structures have joined it. The initial Internet spaces were designed for the transmission of textual information. Then operating systems appeared and websites acquired graphic coloring. It was this brightness that attracted users.
Today, the number of active Internet users is about two billion. human. There is no free Internet, and providers pay a monthly fee for its services. The Internet does not have a single owner either, because there is no single control center. Trouver le bookmaker paris sportif adapté à ses attentes n’est pas toujours simple.
